We
are located at the mouth of the west side of Eidsfjord.
From here you can see Hadsel in the south, and on
a clear day, the Lofoten mountain wall can be seen
to the southwest.
In
our beautiful natural setting, we offer guided boat
trips to Hellfjord. We also recommend an outing
on Eidsfjord itself. Here you will be able to experience
an eldorado of different fish and bird species.
The white-tailed eagle nests in this area, and often
it will even swoop in to retrieve fish that one
throws out. "Nisa" (the sea hog), which is the smallest
of whale species, is oftentimes observed here as
well.
Perhaps
you prefer a mountain ramble. We have marked trails
from Guvåg all the way up to Breitinden (593
m above sea level). From here you have a panorama
covering 6 other township areas (Øksnes,
Sortland, Hadsel, Vågan,Vestvågøy
and Flakstad). The trip takes approx. 2 hrs.
Not
far from Guvåg you will find 3 trout-fishing
lakes. And you may fish here free of charge and
without a fishing licence.
In
our café you may buy food and drink. Here
also, you may rent outboard motors, fishing equipment,
or bedlinen. There is also a public telephone.
Upon
departure, we request that your room/seaside accommodation
be left in the same condition as you found it when
you moved in. Fee for cleaning is kr. 200,-.
Rental
fees for accommodation are paid in advance upon
arrival.
We
regret that we cannot accept credit cards.
We
